Ivy 12/2013
Ivy is doing well at 11 months post TPLO. The Vet says it can take up to 18 months for the muscles that atrophied to build back up and equal the uninjured leg. He reminded me that there is a 50% chance of the other knee going as well. Trying to stay positive, we are keeping her weight down and her activity level up, and giving glucosamine supplements and grain free food. I would like to experiment with raw feeding too. We already supplement with raw carrots and pumpkin, it's the meat side that I haven't embraced yet.
Ivy has been quite mellow around the house, still loves to play fetch a lot, but inside she is quite calm. I'm not complaining but I do wonder how much it has to do with Baby having been quite ill and less aggressive and also now that she is gone, Ivy no longer has to be on the defense...or if it is just the her getting older and more comfortable in the new house.
